Dear Beautiful Human:
I was called to write these messages because it’s time for you to stop rolling over and playing dead. When a dog takes this pose, it’s considered cute. When a human lives this way, it’s a tragedy.
Dogs are unique because our purpose is to show you how to live in love. How to be love. We may walk on four legs, instead of two, but any dog you ask will tell you that he knows more about love than any human he has ever met.
Have you been watching and listening? Or do you spend your time regretting decisions you have made or worrying about what may happen?
When your inner world is calm, you see your life differently, you speak more thoughtfully, and you act with integrity. You show up more authentically and respond, instead of react, to your outside world.
And that makes all the difference.
In these days leading up to your big Heart day, I asked some friends of mine to help me remind you that you came from love, you are love, and you are seen.
You can be the person your dog thinks you are.
Love you loads,
P.S. Why not check out my book, Drop the Leash: Let Go of the Past and Love in the Present? It makes a great Valentine’s Day gift for the dog lovers in your life.
Ever notice that your dog returns to love much faster than you? When your dog gets his feelings hurt (if you don’t believe dogs have feelings, this is the point where you jump to another blog post), he will instantly return to adoration the minute you make amends.
Do you do that – return to love after you release the hurt? Or do you hang onto your hurt and nurse it like a cold beverage on a hot day?
The more I paid attention to my dog, the more I realized that I could learn a lot about being love. That is why I decided to write, Drop the Leash: Let Go of the Past and Love in the Present.
The analogy of a leash hits home with many people. It’s one thing to put the leash on your dog to restrain him; quite another when you effectively “leash” your own growth because of your past, limiting stories.
One reader proclaimed that “This book will quickly become a standard ‘training manual’ in many circles…I have already begun flipping my view of the world…”
Drop the Leash is a tongue-in-cheek guide written by a human, as told by a dog, about the dog’s observations of humans. Playful, satirical and wise, the narrator is a sassy dog named Avatar who tells it like it is.
Another person suggested that “If we follow the loving examples of dogs, we can play and experience joy as we were meant to. This story truly touches the heart and a must read for anyone on a spiritual journey.”

It’s just another step in the Heart Dance <3.
Readers Muse just wrote an insightful review of Heart Dancing. As an author, it is sometimes difficult to read others’ words and opinions about your work.
But I didn’t write Heart Dancing to be just a pleasant read. My overall motivation was to shake you, (the reader), awake to the enormous potential of your life and the choices you make in every moment.
Your reaction to the “shaking up” may be to set down the book and move on. And that is perfectly fine. It’s just not the right time for you. But if you can set aside your skepticism…a glimmer of “something more” may shine into your awareness.
Dhivya Balaji from Readers Muse got that point loud and clear. She cautions anyone who thinks this is just another “feel good” story, when she says, “Having an open mind while reading the book is essential for any reader to get through each chapter.”
Thank you Dhivya, for your honest and detailed review of Heart Dancing. It truly does depend on your perspective!

I never heard of sea glass until I took a trip to Key West for a retreat. One of the speakers passed around a basket full of sea glass and asked the 30+ people to take one. When it was my turn, I chose the darkest, fullest piece I could find.
Because that was the bit of silicon that had been through the toughest forces…had tumbled the most on the waves…and had it survived. Instead of cracking, shattering or being crushed by its journey, that glass had absorbed the larger energy and become stronger. Because of its journey, it was a beautiful reminder of transformation.
Are you struggling with powerful forces in your life right now? Do you feel as if you should give up or give in, even when you know it is not the best path for your growth and expansion? Are you tired of the conflict and turmoil?
Take heart – that fact that you are reading this post and nodding your head is enough evidence that you have already survived.
You are worthy…or you would not be here, right here, right now. You are strong…or you would have already given up. You are valued…isn’t it time to value yourself?
Trust in love greater than you can fathom or imagine.
Know that your journey is part of your contract.
What appear to be obstacles to your small mind are really stepping-stones on your path.
Breathe in the goodness of life and allow it to flow through you.
Reframe. Release. Renew. Rinse and Repeat.
It’s another step in the Heart Dance. (can you hear the music playing?)
