I had the immense pleasure of conducting my first blog interview. The creator behind LiveTheLifeYouImagined.wordpress.com is a sharp, witty and funny individual who has a heart for sharing. We exchanged interview questions by email, and as our conversation deepened, I actually felt a connection with someone I had never met! There is an intimacy that is created by this process – it felt like I was almost asking myself questions and the answers flowed back to me, revealing a new perspective that caused me to sit back and wonder at the unity of it all.
As you can tell, I love the wonder of connecting with other, like-minded individuals.
FYI, I also answered her questions. That interview should be posted on LiveTheLifeYouImagined.wordpress.com in the next day or two. Be sure to check out her blog too!
Anyway…without further ado, I give you my first blog interview:
When did you first remember that you are the creator of your life?”
~ Society, friends, family, people can pressure you to be a certain way. But there comes a time when you realize that you have one precious, beautiful life to live so you might as well stick up for your beliefs and be yourself. You have the power to change or not to change. When it comes down to it, your dreams, future, and what happens in the present is all up to you. I guess I came to this realization around the same time that I discovered who I was.
Why do you write your blog and what connection do you want to make with your readers?”
I blog because I feel like I have a lot to say bottled up inside of me; thoughts, dreams, hopes, beliefs . . . and I felt the need to let them out to someone, anyone. I can do so at my blog, and have it reach a much larger audience. My only goal for my blog is to inspire one person. If I can do that, then my mission has been accomplished! When reading my blog, I hope my readers feel optimistic. To sum up why I blog: for happiness (for myself & my readers).
“Why do you conduct interviews with other authors?”
People like people, it’s as simple as that. People are curious as to what goes on in other’s lives and what goes on inside their heads. I see interviewing as giving readers a glimpse into someone else’s life. Interviews bring fun and excitement to a blog, they connect the readers and the interviewee. Plus, who doesn’t love getting to know someone new?
Is there anyone else out there who would like to be interviewed by me? Please send me a comment with your email address and I will begin the conversation.
